Puliyangudi police have arrested a youth for attempting murder a woman in a land dispute and a hunt is on to nab his brothers.
Police said Maripandi of Malaiyadikurichi near Puliyangudi had a land dispute with neighbour Velusamy. When an argument broke out on Friday night, Velusamy’s sons Karuththapandi, Kannan (28) and Chellapandi hacked Maripandi’s wife Rasathi (39), who sustained grievous cut injuries.
She has been admitted to the Tirunelveli Medical College Hospital. The police arrested Kannan.
