January 10, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:41 am IST - Tirupur:

Around 10 yarn traders, along with the members of Aam Aadmi Party, submitted a petition to Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime) on Friday seeking action against the middlemen who allegedly duped them by procuring yarn and not paying the amount.

AAP district convener S. Sudarapandian told The Hindu that the middlemen had collectively duped yarn suppliers to the tune of Rs. 80 lakh after posing as direct agents for mills.

“Initially, they paid the amount promptly to develop trust and later vanished from the scene,” he said.
