Business and management fest begins

: The world is in the cusp of a digital revolution which can change the lives of the people, and Reliance JIO Infocom Ltd. is creating the technology infrastructure throughout India in order to take the benefits of the revolution to the people, said Muralikittu, CEO Tamil Nadu, Reliance JIO Infocom Ltd. (RJIL).

Speaking at the inaugural function of INVICTUS’15, an international business and management fest organised by the VIT Business School at the VIT University here on Friday, Mr. Muralikuttu said that about 20 years ago, one had to book a trunk call and wait for an hour and more to get connected over phone to one’s kin who were living in another town within the same district or State.

The present younger generation would not be aware of all this. That situation has changed now, thanks to the digital revolution.

Twenty years hence, there would be a further revolution which would further change the lives of the people, he said.

G.V. Selvam, Vice-President, VIT University, asked the students not to be job-seekers but be job creators.

Madhavan, Managing Director, Peps India Pvt. Ltd. said that a mere MBA certificate is not enough. You have to adopt different strategies and do things differently. “We do not look at your bookish knowledge, but your business wisdom”, he said.
