The National Voters’ Awareness Day events were organised here on Friday.
Collector M. Karunakaran administered pledge to the Collectorate staff. He said every eligible voter, who completed the age of 18, should be enrolled in the voter list and encouraged to cast his vote in elections.
Project Director, District Rural Development Agency, H. Vijayakumar flagged off an awareness rally at MDT Hindu College Higher Secondary School in Tirunelveli Junction in the presence of Revenue Divisional Officer, Tirunelveli, Fermi Vidhya, in which over 500 students participated.
