Triggering speculation of one more member of the DMK first family testing political waters, Udhayanidhi Stalin, actor son of party working president M.K. Stalin, on Wednesday participated in the Statewide fast organised by the party to protest against what it called the “murder of democracy” in the Assembly when the Edappadi K. Palaniswami Government won the trust vote last weekend.
“Mr. Udhayanidhi participated as one among the common man,” contended Mr. Subramaniam, rejecting suggestions that the actor had plans to enter politics. “Singer Manickavinayagam, employees of IT companies and volunteers of Exnora also participated,” he said.
