Two girls drown in well

Two girls drowned while bathing in a well in Bommidi near here on Saturday. The victims, Kausalya (12), daughter of Palaniammal-Govindan, and her cousin Sindu (15), daughter of Govindan’s brother Periyasamy, had gone to bathe in the well owned by the family.

The girls were suspected to have been pulled under the swamp and drowned. Kausalya was a class VII student at Bommidi Government Higher Secondary School, and Sindu was a class IX student at Thippireddyhalli Government Higher Secondary School. Bommidi police recovered the bodies.
