Two persons have been arrested in connection with the murder of a 45-year-old in Gudiyatham on Wednesday.
According to police, Silambarasan (27) of Mariamman Koil Street, Netteri Colony, Gudiyatham and Arunkumar, (23) of Pudhumanai, Netteri Colony have been arrested for murdering Manoharan on Tuesday night. The trio regularly consumed liquor together.
They had slit Manoharan’s throat using a liquor bottle after a heated argument broke among them while they were consuming liquor. The duo had reportedly verbally abused him, to which he had objected. This led to the murder, police said.

Gudiyatham Town police have registered a case and have arrested the duo. -
