Dissident AIADMK leader T.T.V. Dhinakaran will hold a consultation with his supporters to decide on launching a political party on Wednesday, coinciding with the 101st birth anniversary of former Chief Minister M.G. Ramachandran.

Mr. Dhinakaran, who has claimed that 90% of the AIADMK cadres who are loyal to late Chief Minister Jayalalithaa, were on his side, said the party’s ‘Two Leaves’ symbol had gone into the wrong hands.

“We need an organisation to face the next local body elections, Assembly elections or the Parliament elections. With that in mind, consultations are being held with district secretaries,” he told journalists.

“Let them start a party, if they do, it will go on, as long as there is money. But their intention to earn the confidence of the people will not happen at all,” Mr. Panneerselvam said.
