Transgender murdered

A transgender who was found unconscious near the Tirupur Old bus Stand on Thursday night died at the Coimbatore Medical College Hospital on Saturday morning. The victim was identified as R. Suganya alias Palanisamy (47) hailing from Sundakkamuthur near Kuniyamuthur in Coimbatore. According to the police, Suganya suffered two deep cuts on the head and was found motionless in a lane near the bus stand. On information, Tirupur South Police made arrangements to take the victim to the Tirupur Government Hospital, from where Suganya was referred to CMCH the same night.

Preliminary inquiries led to suspicion that the victim could have been murdered by other transgenders, following a clash.
