Training programme on social security laws

May 26, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:39 am IST - SALEM:

To create awareness about social security Acts, a one-day training programme will be conducted at Sona College of Technology between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. on June 6.

A release from the organisers, Salem Productivity Council, said that a person may not escape from the liability for violating a law merely because he or she was unaware of its content. Hence, updating labour related laws and social security Acts such as Employee Provident Fund (EPF), Employees’ Pension Scheme (EPS), Employee State Insurance (ESI) and gratuity was necessary.

The training programme would deal with e-filing and its problems, various forms, digital signature, online payment, recent amendments, claims, types of pension schemes and calculations, contributions, eligibility for gratuity and its calculations.
