The following IAS officers have been transferred with immediate effect, as per the orders from the Election Commission.
Harish Chhabra, who was deputy secretary in the industries department, has been transferred and posted as Collector of Salem district in place of K. Maharabushanam.
Rajendra Ratnoo, who was serving as managing director, Tamil Nadu Medical Services Corporation, has been transferred and posted as collector of Vellore district in place of R. Nanthagopal, who has been posted as deputy secretary in the industries department.

S. Madumathi, commissioner of Thoothukudi has been posted as Collector of Erode district in place of V.K. Shanmugam. The services of Mr. Maharabushanam are placed at the disposal of the TNMSC for appointment as its managing director and Dr. Shanmugam could be appointed as Commissioner of Thoothukudi district.
