Surveillance cameras installed in Pattukottai

A total of 18 monitoring cameras have been installed at important places in Pattukottai Municipal limits to enhance security in the town.

The cameras could be monitored from the police control room.

The round-the-clock monitoring facility would help check crimes in the town, said Collector N.Subbaiyan, who advised the residents to establish closed circuit television cameras in business establishments to prevent criminal activities and losses.

Deputy Inspector General, Thanjavur Range, Sanjay Kumar, Superintendent of Police G.Dharmaraj, Pattukkottai Assistant Superintendent of Police Deepa Karnikar, Pattukkottai MLA N.R.Rangarajan, and Municipal Chairman S.R.Jawahar Babu were present.
