Stalin booked for ‘false statements’

The Tiruvarur town police have registered a case under Section 171G of the Indian Penal Code against DMK president M.K.Stalin for allegedly making false statements against the Chief Minister Edappadi K.Palaniswami during his election campaign here recently.

The Revenue Divisional Officer, Tiruvarur, Murugadass had preferred a complaint with the police stating that Mr. Stalin had made the statements at a meeting in Tiruvarur on March 20.
