The Railways will operate special trains from Coimbatore for the benefit of the devotees visiting Kumbakonam for Mahamaham festival.
The Railways will operate special fare special trains between Coimbatore and Mayiladuthurai.
Train no. 06199 Coimbatore – Mayiladuthurai special will leave Coimbatore at 7.45 p.m. on February 21 and will reach Mayiladuthurai at 2.40 a.m. the next day.

Train no. 06200 Mayiladuthurai – Coimbatore special will leave Mayiladuthurai at 10 p.m. on February 22 and will reach Coimbatore at 6.40 a.m. the next day.
The composition of the trains is AC 3-tier 1; sleeper class 10, general second class 7 and luggage-cum-brake van 2.
The trains will halt at Coimbatore North, Tirupur, Erode, Pugalur, Karur, Kulithalai, Tiruchi, Thanjavur and Kumbakonam.

Train no. 06201 Coimbatore – Mayiladuthurai special fare special train will leave Coimbatore at 7.10 a.m. on February 23 and will reach Mayiladuthurai at 1.40 p.m.
In the return direction, train no. 06202 Mayiladuthurai – Coimbatore special fare special train will leave Mayiladuthurai at 2.50 p.m. on February 23 and will reach Coimbatore at 9.15 p.m.
These trains will stop at Irugur, Tirupur, Erode, Karur, Tiruchi, Thanjavur and Kumbakonam.
Clearing rush
The Railways will also operate a special train in the Kochuveli – Coimbatore section for clearing the rush. Train no. 06198 will leave Kochuveli at 10 p.m. on February 20 and will reach Coimbatore at 7.30 a.m. the next day.
The train will stop at Kollam, Kayankulam, Chenganur, Tiruvalla, Kottayam, Ernakulam Town, Aluva, Thrissur, Ottapalayam, Palakkad and Podanur.
