Minister for Cooperation ‘Sellur’ K. Raju told the media here on Sunday that he was desisting from expressing his opinion since the present situation demanded the AIADMK (Amma) to stand united against its true enemy – the DMK.

Speaking to media while attending a medical camp here, Mr. Raju said that there could not be different opinions about the hard work and efforts of V.K. Sasikala in forming the present government in Tamil Nadu.

Stating that the primary duty today was to safeguard the party, he said that it would not be appropriate for him as a Minister functioning under the Chief Minister to express his individual thoughts and opinions.

“I may have many likes and dislikes [regarding the present scheme of things in the party]. However, my opinion is to control all those thoughts and work for the party as a true child of Amma [late Chef Minister Jayalalithaa],” he said.

He added that he did not want his individual opinion to harm in any way the actions being taken by Chief Minister Edappadi K. Palaniswami and party coordinator and Deputy Chief Minister O. Panneerselvam.
