Search for a cricket ball turned fatal for a 10-year-old boy who got washed away in a storm-water drain while trying to cross it on Saturday afternoon. After several hours of search, his body was recovered on Sunday morning.

Junaid fell into the drain at Devarabisanahalli, near Bellandur lake, around 3.30 p.m. on Saturday.

The police said Junaid, who was playing cricket with his friends, was trying to cross the 20-feet-deep drain, covered with a wooden plank, to fetch the ball.
