Accusing the BJP of threatening the film-makers to remove some scenes during an interaction with media here, he said if the BJP had problems with the content of the film, they should have responded politically and democratically by countering the views.
“By doing all this, the BJP has given a nation-wide publicity to an ordinary commercial movie,” he said.

Thupakki , he said that those films faced opposition as they projected the entire Muslim community in bad light, which could disturb religious harmony in the country. “Moreover, they wrongly interpreted the writings in Quran,” he added.
