Raja's brother questioned

A. Kaliyaperumal, elder brother of imprisoned former Union Minister of Communications and IT Minister A. Raja, appeared at the Income Tax office on Wednesday, in response to a summon. Mr. Kaliyaperumal and Mr. Raja's brother-in-law Rengaraj, a retired Village Administrative Officer, were questioned for over six hours by the Deputy Director of Income Tax – Investigation, Albert Manoharan.

They were called for an enquiry in connection with the income tax returns they had filed and the source of their income.

Last week, Mr. Raja's wife Parameswari and another elder brother A. Ramachandran were questioned for nearly three hours.
