The Dharmapuri district police are not even prepared to investigate the possible angles to the death of E. Ilavarasan, his father T.Elango submitted before the Madras High Court on Monday.

The body of the youth was found by the side of a railway track on July 4.

In his reply to the status report filed by the Superintendent of Police relating to the investigation of the case, Mr. Elango of Natham Colony, Dharmapuri district, alleged that the police without looking into various aspects want to close the case as one of suicide. The police were not ready to probe whether Ilavarasan was forced to write any suicide note or whether someone else had written it or whether anybody used the note to conceal a possible murder.

Further, the police official had cited a statement in the note that the youth allegedly took the extreme step of committing suicide on his own and nobody else was responsible for his act.

This showed the police’s biased investigation.

The police were not even ready to collect evidence and material relating to various aspects.
