PMK’s gesture to DMDK

April 08, 2014 03:33 am | Updated November 27, 2021 06:55 pm IST -  SALEM:

The State government is functioning in dark as even after three years of coming to rule, the power crisis continues. Instead of solving the issue, the government accuses the DMK of failure on this front, Anbumani Ramadoss, the former Union Minister and PMK candidate for Dharmapuri Lok Sabha constituency said here in Omalur on Monday.

Campaigning for the DMDK candidate L. Sudhish, a partner in BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) to smoothen ruffled feathers between the two NDA constituents, the PMK leader said that people wanted an alternative to the DMK and the AIADMK that have ruled the State for 47 years. “The NDA is the biggest alliance in the State and is confident of coming to power after the Assembly elections in 2016,” he added. After coming to power, the first signature would be to close all liquor shops in the State, he said, adding that day by day, the NDA alliance was growing stronger.

In his 10-minute speech, Mr. Anbumani said that after Narendra Modi after assumes office as the prime minister, he would initiate steps to control price rise of essential commodities, solve the State fishermen’s issue and also interlink rivers in the country for a ‘Greener India’.
