Photo exhibition begins

A photo exhibition was organised by the district administration, Tourism Department, Forest and Niligiri Wild life and Environment Association at the Horticulture complex in Charring Cross here.

Collector P.Sankar inaugurated the exhibition in the presence of Udhagamandalam municipal chairperson K.Sathyabama, chairman of Thadco S. Kalaiselvan, Mudumalai Field Director Srinivas R.Reddy, and DFO, South, C.Badrasamy.

More than 350 photographs are on display. The photographs of the flora and fauna of The Nilgiris, and the tribals are displayed in the exhibition.

Twenty-five photographers have exhibited their photographs. A nine- year-old girl, V. Priyankas of Coonoor, has also displayed her pictures of birds. The exhibition will be open till May 30 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
