A Ph.D student of Annamalai University in Chidambaram was arrested on Saturday for allegedly trying to mobilise students for an agitation over the Kadiramangalam issue through his Facebook account.
He had called for the scrapping of the hydrocarbon project and the release of those arrested for protesting against it.
