No more long wait for results

Gone are the days when it took months together for getting the results of the courses offered through distance education by the Universities.

The Periyar University has set a worthy example by releasing the results of the courses offered through distance education mode within 20 days of the last date of examination.

The last examination of the PRIDE was held on January 13 and the results were published on February 3. This is done to enable the students in applying for higher education, competitive examinations, jobs etc without any delay, said C. Swaminathan. Dr. Leela, Controller of Examinations, said that her department staff worked round the clock to ensure that the results were published without any delay. The Vice-Chancellor was following the examination paper valuation work on a day-to-day basis and also the work of entering the marks in the mark sheets, she said.
