New block inaugurated

Ramco Group of Companies chairman P.R. Ramasubrahmanya Rajha inaugurated the newly constructed block at the Ramaseshier Higher Secondary School, here at a cost of Rs. 67 lakh.

Presenting a purse of Rs. 3 lakh as his donation to the school management on the occasion, the industrialist-cum-philanthropist appealed to the students to study well and make use of the newly provided infrastructural facilities by the management.

Managing Trustee N. Sundarasubramanian welcomed the gathering.

The Balmer Lawrie & Co former executive director P.S. Ananthanarayanan presided and Jagadeeswaranandaji Maharaj, chief administrator, Swami Sivananda Centenary Charitable Hospital gave his blessings.

Pattamadai panchayat president K. Allapitchai, PTA president V. Gandhi, Headmistress E. Prema offered felicitations. Former Tamil pandit of the school V. Senthilnayakam gave a talk on ‘Illakiyamum, Vaazhviyalum,’ and engineer P.T. Piramanayagam was honoured for his free services in the construction of the block, a press release said.
