‘Makkalai thedi manakaratchi’ special camp

The second ‘Makkalai thedi manakaratchi’ special camp was organised at Melapalayam zone office here on Thursday to address the grievances of residents living in wards 31, 32 and 33.

The special camp is being organised for issuing birth / death certificates, making corrections, if any, in these certificates, fixation and payment of property tax, vacant land tax, name transfer of property tax, new drinking water connection, name transfer of drinking water connection, underground drainage tax, building plan approval etc. ‘On the spot’ clearance is being given if applications are submitted along with relevant documents.

72 applications disposed

Of the 138 applications received during the camp for issue of birth / death certificates, transfer of names etc, on-the-spot decision was taken to dispose of 72 applications.

Mayor E. Bhuvaneshwari, City Health Officer Muneeswari, Assistant Commissioner of Melapalaym Zone Anita, Assistant Executive Engineer L.K. Bhaskar participated in the special camp.
