Lovers commit suicide on railway track

Lovers committed suicide by throwing themselves before a train on Saturday near Katpadi.

According to police, Varghese (25) and Kalaiyarasi (25) of Brahmmapuram in Katpadi were in love from their student days at a nursing institute. However, Kalaiyarasi’s parents opposed their love and were arranging her marriage with another person.

Hence, both came out of their homes discreetly on Saturday morning and deciding to end their lives, laid in the nearby railway track in Katpadi. A train passing the place ran over them ending their lives.

Katpadi railway police are investigating the case.
