Komarapalayam municipality joins AMRUT scheme

Komarapalayam municipality, one among the municipalities in the State selected for implementing the Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation (AMRUT) scheme, has passed resolution to join the scheme.

At a council meeting held under Chairman K. Dhanasekar, councillors agreed to join the scheme that aims at improving water supply, storm water drainage, transport and basic amenities in the local bodies. The scheme was being implemented by the Ministry of Urban Development of the Central Government across the country. Officials said that they had forwarded the copy of resolution and the letter of joining the scheme to the Central Government.
