Killed in accident

A software engineer was killed and 10 others injured when a tempo traveller, in which they were travelling, collided with a car near Vydehi Hospital on Whitefield Road early on Tuesday. The deceased has been identified as Varun (26), a resident of Electronics City. The police said around 3 a.m., Varun and his colleagues were returning home from work in the office tempo traveller when the driver, Manjunath, lost control of the vehicle. Manjunath was driving negligently and rammed into a car coming from the opposite direction. Varun, who was sitting beside the driver, suffered head injuries. Others, including the driver, sustained minor injuries.
