Kanyakumari student selected for EDT Programme in US

Masha Nazeem hasso far invented 12 science models.

Masha Nazeem of Eraviputhoor Kadai in Kanyakumari district, who is doing Master of Technology course at SRM University, has been selected for the prestigious Entrepreneurship Development Training Programme in the United States.

She is one among the eight students selected by Motwani Jadeja Foundation (MJF), headquartered in California, for the Rajeev Circle Fellowship. The annual fellowship is offered by the MJF to bright students from various nations.

As part of this fellowship, the selected students from India would take part in Entrepreneurial Development Training Programmes in Google, Face Book, E-Bay, Auto Desk and Twitter from May 10 to 30.

Masha Nazeem has been selected for the fellowship for her innovative service rendered to school students under the Masha Innovation Centre, which was inaugurated by the then Collector Nagarajan. As many as four school students of Masha Innovation Centre have been selected for national-level competitions on inventiveness and creativity.

Ms. Nazeem said that the EDP training would help her take the centre to the national level to popularise science among school students.

She started designing science projects at the age of nine and has invented 12 science models. She has got five national and two international awards.
