Jayalalithaa case adjourned

The Special Court hearing the disproportionate assets case against Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J. Jayalalithaa on Thursday adjourned hearing on a plea for recalling a witness, to May 30.

B.M. Mallikarjunaiah, Judge of the Special Court and 36{+t}{+h} Additional Sessions Court, adjourned hearing as counsel for Sasikala, one of the accused in the case and on whose behalf application was filed to recall an auditor, was unable to attend court proceedings on Thursday.

Meanwhile, the prosecution has filed objections to the recall application.
