IPS officers transferred

The State government on Wednesday transferred and posted P. Thamaraikannan, Inspector-General of Police/Additional Commissioner of Police, Law and Order (North), Chennai Police, as Inspector-General of Police, Administration, Chennai, in the place of T.P. Sundaramoorthy, who retired on January 31.

An official release said that Abhash Kumar, Inspector-General of Police, Modernisation, Chennai, would replace Mr. Thamaraikannan as Additional Commissioner of Police, Law and Order (North), Chennai Police. A. Amalraj, Deputy Inspector-General of Police, Tiruchi Range, is transferred and posted as Deputy Inspector-General of Police, Salem Range, in place of Sanjay Kumar, who is posted as Deputy Inspector-General of Police, Thanjavur Range, in the existing vacancy.

PM.S. Nisha Shekar, Assistant Superintendent of Police, on compulsory wait, has been posted as Assistant Superintendent of Police, Kottakuppam sub-division, Villupuram district, the release said.
