ICDS centres inaugurated

Additional classrooms, two Integrated Child Development Scheme (ICDS) centres and a community hall, all constructed at Rs. 82.60 lakh, were inaugurated by Minister for Highways and Minor Ports Edappadi K. Palaniswami here on Tuesday.

Under the Education Fund, four classrooms constructed at the Corporation Middle School in Seelanaickenpatti at a cost of Rs. 32.90 lakh were inaugurated. Also, two ICDS centres constructed at a cost of Rs. 24.75 lakh each at Alagapuram and in South Alagapuram were also inaugurated. A community centre constructed in the area was also inaugurated.

District Revenue Officer S. Selvaraj, Mayor S. Soundappan, V. Paneerselvam MP, MLAs M.K. Selvaraj, G. Venkatachalam, Corporation Commissioner K.R. Selvaraj, Deputy Mayor M. Natesan, zone chairmen, councillors and executive engineers participated.
