Heavy rain lashed Vellore and surrounding areas for more than an hour on Monday evening bringing relief to the water-starved residents.
With the ‘kathiri veyyil’ season coming to a close on Wednesday, the day temperature has started cooling down in the last couple of days.
The maximum temperature on Monday was 101 degrees Fahrenheit.
