Graduation Day

The importance of decision making was emphasised by S. Balasubramanian, Chairman, City Union Bank Limited, Kumbakonam, in his Graduation Day address at Hallmark Business School, Tiruchi. “Learn from your experience, from all the wrong decisions you made, and then you will understand how to make right decisions,” he said. A total of 72 candidates received their degrees. Academic toppers, outstanding students and various committee toppers were awarded gold medals. J. Jayaraman, secretary, and R. Ramesh, director, spoke.

Summer course

Around 120 students from various schools and polytechnic colleges participated in a summer course from May 4 to 27, organised by M.I.E.T Engineering College, Tiruchi. A. Mohamed Yunus, chairman, and M.Y. Abdul Jaleel, vice-chairman, inaugurated the course that included training on software, hardware, networking, CAD, and personality development. S. Guharaja, Principal, presented certificates to the students.

Toppers felicitated

Toppers of the 2014-15 academic year of Prime College of Architecture and Planning, Nagapattinam, were felicitated during ‘XTASY,’ the second annual day of the college. S. Radhakrishnan from Thiyagarajar College of Engineering, Madurai, Lakshman Narayan, actor, and K. Thirumugam, district sports and youth welfare officer, were the guests. N. Govindaraj, chairman of the college, presided. Ar.A. Parisutharajan, Principal, presented the annual report.

Placement Day

Offer letters were presented to 350 students of E.G.S. Pillay Engineering College, 150 students of E.G.S. Pillay Polytechnic College, and 50 students of E.G.S. Pillay Arts and Science College, who were selected in campus drives conducted by various multinational companies, at the ‘Placement Day.’ S. Parameswaran, secretary, Sivabalu, placement director, R. Karunanithi, advisor, S. Ramabalan, Principal, E.G.S. Pillay Engineering College, and Natarajan, Principal, E.G.S. Pillay Arts and Science College, were present.
