Governor condoles death of Ravi Shankar

The Governor, K. Rosaiah, on Wednesday expressed grief over the death of sitarist and composer Ravi Shankar.

In a message to the bereaved family, Dr. Rosaiah said: “He had taken India to the hallmark of fame in classical music. As long as music is there, his classical melodies will reverberate in the ears of music lovers across the world''.

His death has left a void in the world of classical music, the message added.
