An election flying squad seized a consignment of lungis near Katpadi on Monday. However, the consignment was returned after the owner produced the requisite documents.

The flying squad was conducting a vehicle check near Kasam when it intercepted a mini truck.

The officers found that 14,800 lungis were being transported in the vehicle. They were being brought from Tiruvallur district to Gudiyatham in Vellore.
