Workshop

The South India Textile Research Association will organise an international workshop on “electrospinning and electrospraying” on June 22 and 23.

According to a press release, Seeram Ramakrishna from the National University of Singapore will conduct the workshop and it will be focused on basic and advanced approaches to electrospinning and electrospraying for nano fibre, particle production with demonstrations of various processes. Clarification

The Labour Department has said in a press release that it has not made any changes in the registration form for those who want to become members of construction workers or unorganised workers welfare boards.

Demonstration

Members of All India Bank Officers Confederation, Coimbatore, staged demonstration in front of a branch of Dhanalakshmi Bank in the city on Tuesday protesting against the termination of services of the general secretary of the Dhanalakshmi Bank Officers Organisation.

Survey

The National Sample Survey Office will conduct National Sample Survey on “Manufacturing, Trade and Other Services (excluding construction)” from July this year to June next year.

A three-day regional training camp will be held from June 17 to 19 for field functionaries to conduct the survey.

The officials will visit select villages and urban blocks and approach enterprises and households to collect data.

At the national-level, the data will be collected from 16,350 villages and urban blocks.

In the western region of the State, it will be taken in 420 places.
