Ponmudi, former School Education Minister Thangam Thennarasu, former Vice-Chancellor M. Rajendran, former chairman of the Tamil Nadu State Council for Higher Education A. Ramasami, Professor Krishnasami, State Platform for Common School System convenor Prince Gajendra Babu, DMK student wing secretary C.V.M.P. Mr. Stalin said the Centre gave up the imposition of Hindi after the DMK opposed the proposal.

“But the BJP government is always finding avenues to impose Hindi, and the allocation in the Budget for the appointment of Hindi teachers in non-Hindi-speaking States runs contrary to what it had promised,” the DMK leader said.
