Students are bound to develop creative thinking skills as they play an important role in improving the productivity of any organisation, said V. Subha, Chairperson, Rumination Life Academy, Tiruvannamalai.

She was addressing a gathering of students and academicians at the Arunai Engineering College, Tiruvannamalai, on Wednesday. The college organised a motivational programme titled “Techno Meet” for students who have completed Plus Two.

She had a strong message for the 500 participants that corporates and other service organisations these days were looking for people with high levels of creative potential to handle problems of global businesses.

Imagination, creative logic, and lateral thinking are some of the qualities that need to be rekindled and she urged students to cultivate soft skills so that they can get good placements. This skill, which is missing in the regular curriculum, is being given importance by the higher education providers, she added.

Vice Chairman of the College E.V. Kumaran, Secretary, M. Pruikinthraj and Adviser M. Arumugam spoke on the occasion.
