Awareness programme on disaster prevention

The District Disaster Management Agency is organising a demonstration-cum-awareness training programme on `Disaster Prevention, Preparedness and Management’ in association with the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), Arakkonam at the EDI Parry ground in Ranipet at 3 p.m. on May 20.

According to an official release, during the programme, NDRF personnel would impart awareness training to factory employees and members of the public on the methods to prevent disasters in factories, and to prepare themselves to safely face natural disasters. Vellore Collector R. Nanthagopal will preside over the programme. – Special Correspondent
