CPI(M) condemns Centre’s policies

Cadres of Communist Party of India (Marxist) staged street-corner meetings condemning the “anti-people” economic policies of the state and central governments in Thiruvattar, Pudhukkadai, Kulasekaram, Suchindram and Asaripallam junction in Kanyakumari district on Friday.

Over 250 cadres participated in the meetings, the police said. CPI (M) district secretary N. Murugesan addressed the meeting.

Cadres raised slogans against the union and state governments. Leaders who spoke at the meetings condemned the “wrong economic policies” of the government.
