Consecration done in five temples

Five temples in the Kumbakoan vicinity saw consecration after renovation works were completed on Monday. The rituals were performed in the run up to the Mahamaham slated for February next.

Hundreds of devotees witnessed the mahakumbabishsekam and mahasamprokshanam of Sri Someswarar Swamy temple, Melacauvery Sri Kalisasanathar temple, Sri Aanda Pillayar temple, Reddiar Kulam Sri Anjaneyar temple, and Sri Tirumazhisai Alwar temple.

Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments Department Joint Commissioner, Mayiladuthurai, Gajendran, Kumbakonam Assistant Commissioner Gnanasekaran, and other officials had made elaborate arrangements for the programmes.
