Bus services hit

Bus services have been affected for more than 30 minutes after the Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation employees resorted to flash strike urging the police to take action against a sub-inspector of police who reportedly assaulted a driver on Friday.

The police said that Abdul Latheef (72) along with his wife Sahia Beevi (64) of Mela Salai Gramam near Sirkazhi was on his way to drop his motorbike in a two-wheeler parking stand in order to proceed to Nagore. However, they were knocked down by a transport corporation bus which sped fast after the incident. Both of them fell down on the road.

Abdul Latheef lodged a complaint with the police. Based on the complaint, the police Bhaskaran (44), to come to the police station.
