BJP launches ‘Sankalp Yatra’ in Coimbatore

Bharatiya Janata Party took out a ‘Sankalp Yatra’ here on Wednesday.

Party’s state general secretary Vanathi Srinivasan led the rally that saw the participation of over 500 students highlighting the programmes of the Central government that were in consonance with Mahatma Gandhi’s ideals.

Ms. Srinivasan said the rally was in response to a call given by Prime Minister Narendra Modi , who had appealed to people from all walks of life and political parties to join the rally. The participants marched from Vysial Street to Ramnagar.

Suez India that is implementing the 24x7 drinking water distribution improvement project cleaned the Gandhipuram town bus stand. In addition to handing over safety gear to conservancy workers, a 65-member-strong Suez team cleaned the bus stand for two hours, said a release.
