Ravi Shekhar Sinha assumed charge as Additional Divisional Railway Manager (ADRM) of Salem Railway Division here on Tuesday. Belonging to the 1986 batch of the Indian Railway Stores Services (IRSS), Mr. Sinha is a B.Tech. graduate from IIT/Kanpur. Prior to the present posting, Mr. Sinha was the Chief Materials Manager in South Western Railway, Hubli.
Mr. Sinha had earlier served in various capacities in Indian Railways, such as the Joint Director/Iron and Steel/Railway Board, Deputy Chief Materials Manager/Chittaranjan Locomotive Works, Chief Materials Manager at East Central Railway/Hajipur and was the Controller of Stores at Kolkata.
He also served in the Territorial Army’s 969 Railway Engineers Regiment as a Major. He underwent training abroad in the INSEAD/Singapore, and ICLIFF/Malaysia, in his official capacity. He succeeds V. Thavamani Pandi, who has been transferred and posted as Chief Engineer/Workshops, Southern Railway, Chennai.
