Admissions to the Government and private Industrial Training Institutes is scheduled for August at Dharmapuri (Kadagathur) Government Industrial Training Institute.
According to a release from the District Employment Office, applications will be sold at the Government ITI from May 25 to June 10. Further, applications may also be bought from Government ITIs across districts in the State. Admissions are open to candidates, both women and men, between 14 and 40 years of age. The applicant must have a minimum educational qualification of Standard VIII pass or SSLC (pass/fail).
It is suffice that the applicant applies with only one application, since admissions to all Government ITIs in a district will be held through counselling.

Apart from the Kadagathur ITI, 50 per cent Government quota is available for three private ITIs - Sri Shakthi ITI; Malleshwara ITI (Marandahalli); and Ananda ITI (Chinnamanjavadi Kanavai).
The courses offered are draughtsman civil (2 years); electrician (2 years); fitter (2 years); mechanic motor vehicle (2 years); turner (2 years); wireman SCTV patter (2 years); and 1 year courses in COPA; welder, mechanic diesel engine.
On admission, the students will receive a monthly scholarship of Rs. 500, along with free books, uniform, laptop.
