Anbumani has the blueprint for TN's development: Ramadoss

Pattali Makkal Katchi’s Chief Ministerial candidate Anbumani Ramadoss has the blueprint for the development of Tamil Nadu, party founder S. Ramadoss has said.

Addressing party workers at a general committee meeting on Tuesday, he said the party’s vision for the State was based on concrete policies and schemes and not mere election promises.

“We have drafted 12 schemes to ensure good governance. This includes enacting legislation for Lokayukta and Right to Services Act,” he said.

Through Lokayukta, corruption charges, including against a Chief Minister of the State, should be inquired in six months, while the Right to Services Act will ensure prompt delivery of services to the public such as issuing community certificate, Dr. Ramadoss said.

He reiterated the party’s stance to establish a corruption-free government. “Anbumani has plans to provide education of international standard to students. Economic growth is possible only with education,” Dr. Ramadoss said. The PMK will also ensure employment for the youth in the State. “We will provide 40 litres of protected water to every individual. This is possible through conserving rainwater,” Dr. Ramadoss said.

Technology in agriculture

He outlined the party’s plans to bring in technology into agriculture.

Criticising the State government, Dr. Ramadoss said the State lacked good governance. “Transparency and accountability are essentials of good governance but the government lacks both,” he said.

People of the State do not want the two Dravidian parties to come to power again. “They want a new party, a new Chief Minister, who is young and educated and can take the State on the road to development,” Dr. Ramadoss said, adding people have started to see these qualities in Dr. Anbumani.
