An AIADMK panchayat president and councillor were arrested while attempting to distribute cash in Palacode on Saturday. Raja, an AIADMK panchayat president of Kalapanahalli Panchayat and Lakshmanan, councillor, were caught red-handed when they were making a bid to distribute cash. The men were found in possession of Rs.13,000 in cash that was seized.
In another incident, the Mahendramangalam police seized an SUV and Rs. 9,320 in cash after two AIADMK functionaries were found distributing cash at J.Bandaarahalli in Palaccode. The men escaped leaving the vehicle and cash behind. — Staff Reporter
