Leaders pay tribute to party founder MGR and Jayalalithaa

The All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam’s (AIADMK) 46th foundation day was celebrated by leaders of the AIADMK (Amma and Puratchi Thalaivi Amma) at the party headquarters on Tuesday.

Chief Minister Edappadi K. Palaniswami, who is also the co-coordinator of the party, and Deputy Chief Minister O. Panneerselvam, coordinator of the party, garlanded the statue of AIADMK founder M.G. Ramachandran and offered floral tributes to the portrait of former Chief Minister Jayalalithaa.

Senior leaders and Ministers including K. P. Munusamy and R. Vaithilingam, both deputy coordinators; Dinidigul C. Sreenivasan, Forests Minister; and K.A. Sengottaiyan, School Education Minister took part in the event.

R. B. Udhayakumar, Revenue Minister, later told reporters that by the time the party observed the next foundation day, it would have got back the ‘two leaves’ symbol, which has remained frozen for the last seven months.
