The Aam Aadmi Party, which came to power in Delhi, will seek to present itself as an alternative to Dravidian parties in Tamil Nadu, according to Prashant Bhushan, party leader and senior lawyer.
Visiting Idinthakarai in Tirunelveli district on Sunday evening to express solidarity with opponents of the Kudankulam Nuclear Power Project, he referred to the victory of AAP in the Delhi Assembly elections and said it had aroused a sense of enormous hope and enthusiasm among people, who were fed up with the erstwhile regime because of corrupt practices. People across the country had felt a wind of change to uphold the virtues of democracy. Hence, the basic vision of AAP was to create fundamental, radical and political transformation, he said.
Talking to reporters, he said the Aam Aadmi Party would extend its support to the opponents of nuclear energy.

The AAP would contest in the Lok Sabha polls and the party high command was involved in selecting corrupt-free hands as candidates.
